Hi there, I have a vw transporter that I am keen to convert into a campervan. Never done this before so any advice would be very much gratefully received! I have 4 kids so need 5 possibly 6 seats. Have 3 in the front already and have a choice of another row of three or a row of 2 and a single buddy seat. Any ideas which would work best and where abouts in the van would be best? Many many thanks!
Depends on a couple of things: what kind of seats it is easy to get hold of and what else you want to do with the van? As a rule, single transporter seats seem harder / relatively more expensive to source than the bench seats. If you have a single seat tho' you could put it behind the two and keep a row in the van clear for storage / carrying long items. Alternatively the 3 seat bench is ideal for folding down to make a bed (providing it is hinged). Whatever you go for try to get the option of removing them (install on rails) as that gives you much more flexibility if you need the van for other things.....
