Hi, I am in the very early stages of my van conversion, I have chosen the base vehicle (Transit TDCI 140ps LWB Med roof) and have found a good one locally. The only problem is that it is black. Should I be worried about this from a temperature control point of view? Also are there any other comments about my van selection, thank you, David
Hi David
I think if you insulate it well it shouldnt be a problem, my last van was red (pink by the time i sold it) and i had filled behind all the ply lining with rock wall insulation including the ceiling crucially. I dont remember ever really feeling hot in it as a camper. The place i really notice the heat coming in is through the front windows, so if you nip that in the bud you should be fine.
Can't see a problem with the choice of a transit, good solid reliable van! Good job its not white.
Hope that helps
Cheers
Paul
Thanks Paul, that does give me more confidence in my choice, I will go take a second viewing of the van.
I would interested to know if others on the site agree with you.
cheers David
