Hi we are just starting converting a renault master but want to make it 4 berth. We are thinking about a rear double bed and trying to use the space into the cab to make another double bed but this is where we are stuck. we were thinking about something stored in the ceiling coming down and pulling out but not really clear what! We also need to fit 2 seats and seats belts just behind the front seats so any suggestiosn woudl be usefull. We have looked at minibus seats with seat belts in them and are now wondering about Espace type seats in track that coudl be removed when van only used by 2 pepole. These would need seat belts attachd to the van or do any of the other people movers have seats with seat belts in
thanks for the helps, its been very interesting reading all the posts

Hi, not sure what to suggest re: the extra bed other than having a look at some other conversions. I've seen high tops where there are some rails fitted just above head height and then concertina'd boards which can be pulled out and supported to create a bed platform...this sort of thing (excuse the slightly random photo - they appear to have folded a small child up with the bed!!). For the back seats something on rails is really useful. As you say you can take it out but it can also give you the option to change the seat position while in the van. There is a good article on the site here. Obviously there is a bit of a sales pitch from SW campers going on but form a legal point of view it's useful. Looks like you can get belts integral to the seat too which saves on having to weld onto the van frame. Good luck.
