I converted a 56 MWB Crafter and installed swivel seats in the front the yellow airbag/seatbelt warning light is now always on? The plug that was connected to the bench seat is now disconnected and was wondering if there is a get around, VW say they cant do anything Any help appreciated

I removed the double seat  , fitted a single seat and had the same problem I came across this item on ebay , I have fitted it but as yet I haven't had time to have the error cleared ,the guys ebay user name  is leesjake  I hope this helps

DO YOU WANT TO REMOVE YOUR PASSENGER SEAT FROM YOUR 07 TO 12 SPRINTER?

DONT WANT TO PUT YOUR SRS, AIRBAG LIGHT ON?

THEN DONT DO ANYTHING UNTIL YOU HAVE GOT ONE OF THESE.

YOUR SEAT HAS AN SEATBELT PRETENSIONER, WHICH FIRES IS A CRASH. BUT IF YOU REMOVE THE SEAT YOU WILL CREATE A FAULT IN YOUR AIRBAG SYSTEM. THIS POSSIBLEY WILL NOT FIRE IN A CRASH. SO YOU NEED TO TELL THE ECU THAT THE SEATBELT IS STILL THERE. THATS WHAT THIS UNIT DOES. AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT TURN THE IGNITION ON WITH THE SEAT UNPLUGGED, ALL YOU WILL NEED IS THIS. IF YOUR LIGHT IS ALREADY ON THEN YOU NEED TO HAVE THE VAN PLUGGED IN TO REMOVE THE ERROR CODE.

ANY GOOD GARAGE CAN DO THIS FOR YOU, SO CAN I IF YOU ARE LOCAL.

THERE IS A SMALL AMOUNT OF WIRE JOINING (SOLDER, OR BLOCK CONNECTORS) NEEDED, BUT VERY EASY. FULL INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN.
