need to be flexible!! electric sockets

Just bought a peugot boxer van l3h2 which will be doubling up as a work van,  basically a full conversion wont be happening, just the basics to give a good months holiday!  So  What i am trying to figure out is there are aux sockets on the van 12v i think (like a cigarett lighter)  What is out there that can be used??  how bad a drain will this be on the battery,  Pretty sure I have a strip light that worked off cig socket,  also think i read somewhere about a kettle??    We dont want total luxury however  light maybe a refrigerated box for day use and ease of a quick cuppa might be an idea!  Is this feasable or do we really have to look into installing electric?

Hi, simple answer is I think it depends on how much you will be driving (and therefore how much you will be able to keep the battery charged)?  I've worked with a cool box off the cigarette lighter.  Plug in while driving and it will retain its 'coolness' for a while once unplugged.  Think there are some pictures on this guys blog..  http://www.campervanconversion.co.uk/node/45  I reckon brewing a travel kettle a few times would be fine.  Lights can be trickier.  An alternative would be one of these stick up lights you can get which is battery powered.  You could have a couple of them placed strategically within the van for where you need them.
