New Channel 4 Show - Micro Design - looking for unusual/quirky projects

Television production company

Television production company Plum Pictures are producing a brand new, primetime show for Channel 4 about micro design. The six-part series, presented by George Clarke (Restoration Man, Build A New Life In The Country), will showcase some of the most innovative and stunning small scale projects happening around the UK, where a small space is being transformed into something cool, quirky or beautiful. For example, suspended rooms, houseboats, shipping containers, railway carriages, sheds etc.

George Clarke is buying and renovating a caravan throughout the series, so we are looking for other quirky or unusual vehicles/spaces. We are looking to film these transformations of unusual small spaces into living spaces, dens, offices, retreats or studios from start to finish, and are looking for projects starting over the next few weeks (ideally mid-May), which will be completed by the end of the summer.

We are also going to showcase completed projects so please do let us know about any fantastic micro design projects you have completed or are aware of.

new T4 project due to start

 Hi Katy,

I have just bought my VW T4 van ready for conversion. Planning on converting to a very high show standard. It will no doubt be a rocky road and a labour of love but it does seem to fall right in to your time scale as i want it finished by the last 2 weeks in august. your show looks very interesting and i would love to talk to you about it. there are the first photos of the van on this site that i posted today.

I hope we can talk more.

Thanks

Rich
