Carpeting the walls

I've had my van for a while and I'm just getting round to all those finishing touches.  I was thinking about putting carpet on the walls but not sure if it is worth the effort.

Also what kind of carpet should I use and how would I stick it on?

I reckon it would look kind of nice but is it worth the hassle.  What do folk out there think?...........

Well I am about to carpet my walls so I will let you know,I bought a large roll of car upholstery carpet from ebay which seems nice and pliable.

Specialist Vehicle Carpet

Hi - I think you can get specialist vehicle carpet which is the stuff you get on the ceiling of cars etc.  If you could find a roll of that going cheap it would definitely be best as its super flexible, light, and pretty hard wearing.  I found myself just using that corrugated commercial carpet stuff - main problem was it was rubber backed and I ended up scraping all the rubber off - what a rubbish task that was!  Looks really good in the end though.... I stuck it on with some evostick spray stuff but I forget the name I'm afraid.

I think you should carpet the walls though - it definitely looks good at the end of it!

Cheers for the advice.

Sounds like finding the right kind of carpet is the key.  Looks like a bit of surfing on eBay this week (instead of working) and hopefully a "nice" weekend with a pot of evostick and some scissors.

If I ever get it done I'll post some photos.  Be good to see what other folks have done with the interior furnishings.........
