Best and Worst Campervans

Having a very dull Tuesday at work. So, it has to be asked.....best and worst campervans you have owned and why?

My offerings:

Best - Mitsuibishi L300.  Not the fastest or smoothest ride just made a great home for 4 months in NZ and didn't break down once (never even needed an oil top up).

Worst - Mazda Bongo.  This was the van we bought before aforementioned L300 which died within 3 days (possibly that is more to do with jet lag and us knowing nothing about engines but hey).

What do people think.......

Best - Ford Econoline 1979. Not the swiftest of beasts but took a good beating travelling across BC mid winter. Rolled it twice, froze the battery and snapped the clutch but it just kept on giving even at -30C. Even took the skylight off in a multi-story - just made it more streamlined. It knew the way to the ski hills on its own. Worst - Fiat Punto. It sucks.

Best / Worst Campervan

I agree, not a campervan but the Fiat Punto sucks.  I had one where the internal lights filled with water when it rained!

Best van - Mitsuibishi L300 gets another vote.  Just cause that's what I've got now and no big problems so far....

Worst van - Possibly the Plymouth Voyager I had for a while (funnily enough also in BC).  It was more of a people carrier thing but I did try do a basic conversion and sleep in it a few times before it terminally broke down right outside MEC in Vancouver.  It was only a month old!!

We're looking at purchasing this vehicle. Does anyone have ideas for converting this to a camper van. There are just two of us, don't need a lot of amenities. Just need minimal kitchen facility (I won't be making full meals!), restroom facility, and sleeping area. Looking for someone who has already done this, or has ideas.

Thanks!
