Hello everyone,

Right... I have a choice between a 2001 Mercedes Sprinter short wheel base 2.2 and a 2001 Volkswagen Transporter long wheel base 2.4 (neither converted yet)

My question is this... The volume is similar but which is the more usable space as a camper. 

Also I am swaying towards the transporter at the moment purely because it does 40 mpg and the sprinter does 30. I plan to drive down to portugal and exploring alot of europe so will be spending time on the motorway. 

Any advice or experience would be much appreciated.
