Hi all, well I'm new to this and don't want to make a pigs ear of it so what I am trying to do is convert a pannel van or minibus into a camper ... main use is for dog shows in uk ireland and possibly europe, no winter shows, I'm looking at iveco daily or ldv convoy what do folks think of them or is there another they would recomend, we are on a tight budget so looking at late 90's to early 2000's age wise, what milage would be most before major problems on average? 2 to 4 people with up to 4 very large dogs, tent for extra sleeping space is acceptable ... ideas?
best advice is stay well clear of LDV or Ivecos mate the moat unreliable van on the road with NO resale value regardless of what you do
If it was I doing a dog show van I would use a Merc Sprinter loads about at the right price good strong van easy cheap conversion to a 4 berth with rear garage for dog cages and double bed on top of that and another either using front seats and rear travel seats or a built in couch arrangement my advice would be to go see some motocross/bike converted vans mostly all sprinters which will give you plenty ideas
